Frequently asked questions
What should a first-time buyer know about the Healthy Choice Sage Organic Dunlop Latex Mattress?
This mattress is a fully organic latex system with a 3" base layer (firm or medium), a 3" middle layer (firm, medium, or soft), and a 2" soft top layer, all encased in a cotton cover with wool filling for temperature regulation. It’s customizable for different heights, weights, and sleeping positions and is compatible with adjustable bases.
What is this mattress made of and how does that affect daily use?
It uses 100% Dunlop organic latex with individually wrapped latex layers for reduced friction and motion transfer, plus an organic cotton cover with wool filling. The wool helps regulate temperature and adds natural flame retardancy, contributing to a cooler, more breathable sleep surface.
Who would benefit most from this mattress and in what rooms or setups does it work well?
It suits adults of all body types and can be tailored for queen or king sizes with dual firmness on each side, making it versatile for couples with different preferences. It’s compatible with adjustable bases, so it works well in bedrooms with ergonomic or customizable setups.
How does the firmness customization affect comfort and who should choose which options?
The base layer offers firm or medium support, the middle layer can be firm, medium, or soft, and the top layer is soft for pressure relief. This allows you to create a personalized feel, balancing support and surface comfort based on your weight, sleeping position, and sensitivity to pressure.
What care or maintenance does it require to stay in good condition?
Maintain the mattress with routine surface care as you would with other latex and organic mattresses; the outer cover combines organic cotton and wool for comfort and durability. No special cleaning instructions are listed beyond standard care for a latex mattress with a fabric cover.
